Scansano Country House is an ancient charming stone house located in the heart of Maremma, the southern area of Tuscany, Italy. The villa is set on a gentle hill just a couple of kilometers from an enchanting village called Scansano, well known for its Morellino di Scansano, one of Toscana's most prestigious wines. The house's stunning view stretches from Capalbio to Monte Argentario and Orbetello Laguna. Inside, the traditional beamed ceilings and terracotta floors are highlighted by lovely paintings. A paved terrace with tables, chairs and comfortable loungers surrounds the house. The terrace is immersed in an amazing Mediterranean garden with a unique swimming pool. The property (27 acres) lies within a working farm estate producing first quality olive oil.
Ground floor:
Divided in 4 main spaces: dining room with a nice wooden table for 8/10 people, well equipped kitchen, livingroom with 2 sofas, a nice piano mezzacoda, a fireplace, toilet and a small room double sofa bed.
First floor:
1 double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a fireplace, 1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom/triple bedroom (with an extra single bed), 1 bathroom, 1 sitting room/space.
Dependance:
1 double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom
Garden, terrace and pool:
A very large garden with terraced lawns at the heart of a huge olive trees property. Amply furnished stone terraces wrap around the main house. The private pool, 12 x 6m is set on a paved terrace, some 25 m from the main house and has an amazing view on the Monte Argentario and on a little strip of the Orbetello Laguna.
Assistance:
Assistance is provided locally by the property's caretaker.

A peaceful setting located in the dreamy atmosphere of the Maremma hills. A handful of little charming towns dots the countryside, including Scansano, 6 km, Magliano, 15 km, Manciano 20 km, Capalbio, 27 km. The Tuscany riviera, including the Parco Naturale della Maremma, the Monte Argentario (40 km), Giglio and Giannutri Islands (1 hour by ferry boat from Porto Santo Stefano) is easily reachable. The nearest shops, post office, restaurants, bars, hospital are 6 km from the villa. If the quiet of the countryside and the marine breeze of the coast are not enough consider going on a relaxing day trip to the Saturnia termal baths (20 km) or if you prefer some physical activity go and explore the many trekking paths of the Monte Amiata (60 Km).
By airplane:
Florence, Pisa and Rome 2 hours.
By train:
Albinia train station is situated 25 km (30 minutes) from the villa.
Direct train connections to and from Rome, Pisa, Turin. By Car 100 km from Siena 160 km from Rome 170 km from Florence
Activities:
Tennis at Scansano. Several riding stables in the area. Thermal spa at Saturnia, 40 minutes. Beaches on the Monte Argentario peninsula or at Talamone both about 35 minutes. Trekking on Monte Amiata about 1 hour.

25% of the total amount is due at time of reservation.
The remaining amount is to be paid 30 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy
100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 30 days before arrival or earlier.
0% refundable if canceled after.
Security deposit
A refundable security deposit of €300 is due.

A deposit of 300 euros is required in cash upon arrival and returned on the day of departure after checking the house.
Check-in: between 15h and 20h; Check out: by 10h00.
Late check in and late check out have an additional cost of 20 euros (when possible).

Location bellissima. Natura e giardino curatissimo grazie al Sig. Claudio che ci ha accolto e che cura tutto il giardino e la piscina. Veramente un paradiso con una pace e un silenzio che ti rigenerano.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Das Haus ist sehr abgelegen, mit dem Auto fährt man über unebene Strassen ca 10-15‘ in den nächsten Ort. Wir haben die Ruhe und die Natur sehr genossen.

Cette maison est un concentré du charme de la Toscane : paysages typiques, charme de l'ancien, environnement calme. Proximité de Scansano, qui est un village charmant et très commerçant. Le bord de mer dans le parc naturel de la Maremma et des sites remarquables sont accessibles en peu de temps. L'accueil et l'entretien de la maison sont effectués avec beaucoup de professionnalisme et de gentillesse. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Sehr schönes Haus und Lage, ohne Klimaanlage allerdings recht heiß.
La villa è semplicemente meravigliosa!
La villa è semplicemente meravigliosa, un'oasi di pace con una vista mozzafiato sulle colline.Pulita, spaziosa, con una cucina attrezzata, un grande tavolo per mangiare fuori, spazi esterni curatissimi e una piscina stupenda.Abbiamo soggiornato in sette, con una cagnolina che ha gradito soprattutto lo splendido giardino che circonda la proprietà.Claudio si è dimostrato estremamente disponibile e discreto, presente ma mai invadente.Speriamo di tornare presto!!

Es ist alles da, was man für einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub braucht.Auch mit Hund war alles unkompliziert.Claudio war ein toller Gastgeber, hat sich um den Garten und Pool gekümmert und uns Tipps für Unternehmungen und Restaurants gegeben.Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub!

Tolle Unterkunft, der Hausmeister Mr. Claudio macht einen Klasse Job und ist immer hilfreich und unterstützend!Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen, top ausgestattet und der Pool ist super! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das ganze Ensemble vermittelt eine ruhige und friedliche Atmosphäre, die einen vom ersten Tag an in ihren Bann zieht. Das Haus selbst (insbesondere Küche, Bäder und Betten) ist in die Jahre gekommen. Trotzdem - auch dank Claudios fleißiger Arbeit - wunderschöner Urlaub.

Super schönes Anwesen mitten in der Natur
Super schönes Anwesen mitten in der Natur mit tollem Blick über die sanften Hügel der Maremma. Alles sehr gepflegt. Claudio, unser Checkin Kontakt, ist ein Schatz und war behilflich mit Tipps für die Gegend (Ausflüge, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc.). Man braucht definitiv ein Auto, denn der nächste Ort ist nicht fussläufig zu erreichen. Dafür wird man aber mit Natur pur entlohnt.
